Hexagon Metrology has announced the immediate availability of improved GLOBAL coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) by the DEA brand. Thanks to the ScanPlus optimisation programme, continuous scanning becomes even more accurate, reliable and faster over the complete GLOBAL CMM line. ScanPlus makes continuous scanning packages available also on the Classic models and allows achieving new levels of excellence on the Performance and Advantage models.
“The GLOBAL Classic models are now especially attractive for customers which are interested in an entry-level coordinate measuring machine but at the same time would like to measure their parts with high accuracy in scanning mode,” said Dario Tessarollo, Product Line Manager Bridge CMMs for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) market within Hexagon Metrology.
Additionally, the technical specifications of the GLOBAL CMMs have been further enhanced by improving different components and aspects of the manufacturing process in the course of the ScanPlus optimisation programme. The program has led to remarkable improvements in terms of scanning accuracy and throughput over the complete line of GLOBAL CMMs.
A wide range of scanning probes and probe heads on GLOBAL CMMs — based on the world-renowned Leitz scanning technology — offers the right solution to any scanning measurement requirement. The new LSP-X1c center-mounted fixed scanning probe head and the LSP-X1 scanning probe — also ideal for touch-trigger measurements — complete and expand the existing LSP-X probe line. LSP-X1 is suitable for mounting on a motorised indexable TESASTAR-m measuring head.
“With the LSP-X1 scanning probe from our affiliated brand Leitz the customers receive a true two-in-one solution as it brings scanning and point-to-point measuring in one probe,” remarked Tessarollo.
The new GLOBAL range is immediately available on European GLOBAL CMM shipments from Hexagon Metrology’s state-of-the-art Torino factory.
