At MACH 2010, users of sliding head turning machines will be able to view the F40 Collet and sleeve kits. This equipment can increase bar capacity, up to 36 mm diameter, on 32 mm capacity sliding head machines.
Supplied by Floyd Automatic Tooling, on Stand 5281, visitors will be shown Floyd's ability to supply a wide and specialised range of tooling to users of sliding head turning centres.
Designed by Swisscollet in Geneva, the kit is a response to the market needs for increased diameter ranges on sliding head lathes.
The system has been proven in the marketplace and is increasingly in demand throughout the UK and Europe. The F40 Collet kits are available for popular sliding head machines such as the Citizen, Star and Tornos ranges.
Floyd will also be offering the SwissCollet expanding arbor system which widens the working parameters of turning centres by enabling the end user to machine micro components from 0.8 mm diameter with F8 collets through to larger work with F66 (DIN 185E) collets.
Tooling being shown at MACH will include Applitec high quality ISO inserts, carbide saws and milling arbors plus a new generation of CUT-Line parting off tools. The Applitec CUT-Line program has been enhanced with the introduction of the new 'U' Geometry inserts and increased parting off capacity up to 42 mm diameter, which incorporates fixed head turning centres.
Floyd will also be showing a range of very high precision HP Plus collets and guide bushes with an accuracy of 0.003 mm, designed for specialist solutions such as over-gripping collets and collets for surgical screw application.
