Whitney Tool Co. recently reported it has acquired Cogsdill Enterprises, Walled Lake, Mich., consolidating two industrial cutting tool suppliers. The value of the purchase has not been announced. “Both companies enjoy long-term reputations for excellent quality and customer service,” Whitney Tool stated.
Bedford, Ind.-based Whitney Tool is celebrating its fortieth anniversary year in 2010. Cogsdill Enterprises has been designing and manufacturing products like the Burr-Zit and Handy Burr series since 1960.
The Burr-Zit series is a family of deburring tools noted for speed and reliability in metal hole drilling. Whitney Tool indicated it has started producing Burr-Zit tools at its Bedford plant.
The Burr-Zit tools already are available through the Whitney Tool distributor network and its manufacturer’s representatives in North America, Europe, and Asia.
